OH MY GOD YOU GUYS I FINALLY FOUND THESE

Backstory: This is a series of pages I drew for an art class some time ago. I scanned my favorite one ("Resigned to Fate," which I've currently got as my featured pic) and resolved to scan the other three, then I evidently stuck 'em in my closet and forgot about them. I finally excavated them something like three years later, and now I give them to you.

Now, as you read, please keep in mind that was my very first experience drawing a comic, and I made it during the awkward transition from my "I want to be Jhonen Vasquez!" period.

Which actually reminds me of a story: a while back I showed these pages to a guy who works in the comic book industry, because I wanted to see exactly how big of a fuckup I am as a cartoonist. He took a glance at this page and literally THE FIRST THING HE SAID was "Are you a fan of Jhonen Vasquez?"

I cringed so hard that people in China felt it. I mean, I love Jhonen's art and he's a big influence on my style, but holy shit, I'd prefer it to not be that fucking obvious!
